Dr. Strauss, a board certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, grew up in KY where he attended Centre College a small liberal arts school. Upon graduation, he then enrolled in Dental School at the University of Louisville and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Following this, Dr. Strauss earned a medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and also completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the same training facility. He served as Chief Resident at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and the East Orange VA Hospital, additionally, he completed an internship in General Surgery at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. Dr. Strauss is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and is on staff at both Roper St. Francis and East Cooper Medical Centers. He is a member of the Carolina Cleft Lip and Palate team and has helped organize and participated in an international outreach to Ecuador for the treatment of children with cleft lips and palates.
