Dr. Ted Strauss received his undergraduate degree from Centre College in Danville, KY. He then earned his dental degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Following this he attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he received his medical degree.
He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Strauss served as chief resident at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and East Orange VA Hospital. He also completed an internship in General Surgery at University Hospital in Newark, NJ.
Dr. Strauss has extensive experience in dentoalveolar surgery, office-based anesthesia, dental implants and related bone grafting, facial cosmetic surgery and skin care, facial trauma and reconstruction, oral and maxillofacial pathology, cleft lip and palate repair, and trigeminal nerve microsurgical repair. Dr. Strauss is a member of the Carolina Cleft Lip & Palate Team. He has performed extensive research and published articles in professional publications on various topics in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Ted Strauss has organized and participated in an international outreach to Guayaquil, Ecuador for the treatment of children with cleft lips and palates with Healing the Children.
